Lesson Etiquette

Come prepared to your lesson, with your music and instrument, having practiced the assigned homework.

Be ready to play at the starting time of your lesson. This includes taking your child to the bathroom before the lesson. You may walk in quietly to the lesson before yours to unpack your instrument and get settled in. If there's no lesson before you, wait until 5 minutes before your lesson time to enter the studio. Please do not drop off children at the studio before their lesson times. A parent needs to be present up until the time of their lesson.

Siblings or other children are very welcome. Ms. Becky's children are often in the house during lessons and are happy to entertain siblings, but we do appreciate our privacy. We ask that you leave closed doors closed.

Parent's are encouraged to participate in lessons! Even with older students! It's always beneficial for parents to hear what their children are working on as Ms. Becky is teaching it to them. Suzuki Method is a Teacher-Parent-Student partnership, especially with very young students. You are their teacher at home, so Ms. Becky wants you to feel prepared and up to the task.
